THE MUNSTER REGION is expected to get a jobs boost today, as two companies announce over 200 jobs.

Global software firm Solarwinds is expected to announce 100 jobs in an IDA Ireland backed expansion of their Cork City headquarters.

The networking monitoring software company already employs around 150 people at their City Gate headquarters.

The company’s European headquarters acts as a sales and tech-support hub and will employ 100 IT professionals in the short-term.

In Tipperary, cooked meat provider Ribworld is expected to announce around 100 jobs for their Fethard plant.

The company is today opening a 9,000 square metre expansion to their plant, which exports 85% of its produce. The company is making an €8 million investment that will more than double their numbers.

Both announcements will be attended by Jobs Minister Richard Bruton today.
