1. #DRUGS HAUL: Gardaí have seized cocaine worth between €20 million and €100 million in what could be the biggest ever drug seizure on Irish soil. Two men have been arrested in connection with the haul which was seized in Dublin and Kildare.
2. #QUINN VERSUS ANGLO: Businessman Sean Quinn has been found guilty of contempt for moving assets out of the reach of the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation, formerly Anglo Irish Bank. Quinn, along with his son Sean Junior and his nephew Peter Quinn, will be sentenced on Friday.
3. #CHARGED: A man is due to appear in court in Dublin this afternoon over the death of 55-year-old journalist Eugene Moloney who was found lying on Camden Street in the early hours of Sunday morning. A post-mortem showed that Moloney died as a result of a blow to the head.
4. #CROWDSOURCED: Police in Britain have put thousands of photographs of people suspected of committing crimes during last year’s riots up on the internet, and are asking the public to help identify them. Police are hoping to identify 2,880 people through the images, which are avilable on a website and via a Facebook app.
5. #COURTS: A court in England has heard that a man who was rejected by his ex-wife went on to have sex with her bull mastiff dog. Nicholas Saunders accepts that he was naked in bed with the pet but denies the claim by his former partner that he was having intercourse with the large dog.
