1. #CHELSEA Richard Barklie, from Co Antrim, has apologised for his role in an incident where a black Parisian could not enter a train. However he denied singing racist songs and said he was not part of a group or faction of Chelsea fans.

3. #TOURISM There has been a “significant growth” in tourism, the Irish Hotels Federation says, with €6.45billion in revenue generated by the sector last year alone.

4. #IRISH PRISONS One in six Irish prison deaths is by suicide, according to new figures. Since 2005, 86 people have died in Irish prisons, with 15 of those being by suicide.

5. #EATING DISORDERS There was a 30% increase in calls to the Eating Disorders Association of Ireland helpline last year. More men and boys are now contacting Bodywhys for help, it said.

6. #WEATHER WATCH There’s still an Orange Warning in place across most of the country, with high winds and rain expected until tomorrow morning. Snow was also reported in parts of the country.

7. #AER LINGUS A meeting is expected today between airline management unions about the proposed takeover of Aer Lingus by IAG. But the Independent reports that progress is being hampered by splits within the unions and the Labour Party on the issue.

8. #WARNING Australia has ramped up anti-terror measures, with its Prime Minister Toby Abbott warning the the domestic terror threat was getting worse. The new measures include revoking citizenship for dual-nationals linked to terrorism

9. #INVESTMENT Apple is to build an €850m data centre in Athenry, Galway. The tech giant said that the 166,000-sq-metre centre will be powered by 100% renewable energy.
