6. #HOLIDAY IN IRELAND: A tourist was struck over the head with a bottle less than two hours after arriving in Ireland, The Herald reports. The man, from England, was waiting to board a tour bus with his family in Dublin city centre.

7. #ON THE RUN: A man who had updated his Facebook profile while on the run from gardaí has been recaptured. The man handed himself back to authorities and has been returned to Limerick Prison.

8. #RADIO WARS: Nicky Byrne looks set to take over Ryan Tubridy’s morning slot on 2fm, The Sun reports. Tubs is earmarked to take over the 9-10am show on Radio 1.

9. #BLUE MARBLE: It might seem like we’re used to seeing pictures of Earth, but as Quartz notes this image published yesterday by Nasa is the first image of the entire globe in 43 years.
