1. #SHOOTING: Gardaí are investigating after a man in his early 30s was shot dead in Tallaght, south Dublin. His body was found at around 10.30pm last night. Forensic tests are being carried out at the scene.

2. #EDINBURGH: The mother of Edinburgh toddler Mikaeel Kular has been charged in connection with his death. The 3-year-old went missing from his bed on Wednesday night. His body was found late on Friday.

3. #TOP-UPS: The former CEO of the CRC has indicated to friends he will not be paying back his €742,000 pension and pay-off package, the Sunday Independent reports. Finance Minister Michael Noonan said yesterday that the money should be returned.

4. #IRISH WATER: Around 300 staff at Irish Water were sent on a ‘laughter yoga’ workshop in Croke Park late last year, with taxpayers footing the bill to the tune of €6,000 according to the The Irish Mail on Sunday. The exercise was aimed at ‘boosting morale’ according to the paper’s source.

5. #DRUMM: The DPP is preparing to extradite former Anglo chief executive David Drumm from the US on charges relating to the bank’s collapse, according to The Sunday Times. The paper reports that detectives are confident they have enough evidence to have him extradited.

6. #REBEL: Lucinda Creighton would easily win re-election in her south Dublin constituency, according to local polling. The Sunday Business Post reports that a survey carried out in Dublin Bay South showed the Fine Gael rebel and Reform Alliance member topping the poll with 26 per cent support.

7. #DUNDON: Notorious Limerick criminal Ger Dundon has been released from prison, according to the Sunday Independent. The 26-year-old was released from Wheatfield Prison in Dublin last evening, where he had been serving a sentence for violent disorder.

8. #AFFAIR: The partner of French president Francois Hollande has been released from hospital. Valerie Trierweiler was admitted earlier this month following the revelation that Hollande had been having an affair.

9. #MOVING ON: RTÉ’s Sharon Ní Bheolain could be about to jump ship to become the new face of UTV Ireland, according to this morning’s Sunday Independent. The media company is planning to launch a Dublin-based TV station, and it’s reported the high-profile newsreader is “preparing to be unveiled” as its star anchor.
