1. #WATER RESTRICTIONS: People living in Dublin have been urged to conserve water as they face a loss of their water supply from 8pm tonight until 7am tomorrow morning due to a serious problem at a treatment plant. The severe restrictions are likely to remain in place until at least next Monday.

2. #WEB SUMMIT: Almost 10,000 people are converging on the RDS in Dublin today for the Web Summit, a two-day conference which will see some of the biggest names in tech come together across the city. Organisers say the event is worth €24 million to the local economy.

3. #SPYING: The head of the National Security Agency has said media reports that the covert agency gathered data on millions of telephone calls in Europe is “completely false”, the BBC reports. Keith Alexander said much of the data was collected by European intelligence agencies and shared with the NSA.

4. #WE WANT PRENUP: Justice Minister Alan Shatter is planning to make pre-nuptial agreements legally binding, the Irish Daily Mail reports. Up until now, financial agreements between couples before they got married were not recognised under Irish law.

5. #CRASH: At least 42 passengers have been killed in a bus crash in India after a fuel tank exploded on a motorway early this morning, Al Jazeera reports.

6. #WHO IS THIS KAI: Enda Kenny will today meet with Ma Kai, one of the four Vice Premiers of China, who is visiting Ireland to build trade links between the two countries.

7. #PRISONERS: Israel has freed 26 Palestinian prisoners as part of a deal that set the foundations for the current Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, the Guardian reports. A total of 104 prisoners are to be released over the coming months.

8. #SECURITY BREACH: Software firm Adobe has said that a security breach earlier this month was much larger than previously announced, affecting at least 38 million people rather than the 3 million that was previously announced.

9. #MERCURY PRIZE: Dublin Band Villagers will face stiff competition for the 2013 Mercury Prize which will be announced at a ceremony in London tonight. The Independent reports that soul singer Laura Mvula is now the favourite to scoop the prestigious award.
