Abstain for the All Blacks? "You're having a laugh," says NZ public...

Supporters of the New Zealand rugby team have dismissed a campaign to stop them having sex during the World Cup.

FANS OF THE New Zealand rugby team have flatly rejected the opportunity to give up sex as a way of supporting the team during the upcoming World Cup.

Telecom Corp, who sponsor the team, came up with a campaign with the tagline ‘Abstain for the All Blacks,’ probably because it sounded all snappy and alliterative.

Fox Sports reports that fans would be given black rubber rings to wear to signify the fact that they were keeping it clean and the campaign had the perfect poster boy in the shape of former captain Sean Fitzpatrick.

However, a poll in the New Zealand Herald proved that the idea of cutting out the bed sports was not something the public was endorsing, with 92% of people rubbishing the notion of seven weeks without sex.
