Evening all, and welcome to tonight’s feature game from the Airtricity League Premier Division. It’s Dublin derby night, so we’re in Dalymount Park for the meeting of Bohemians and Shelbourne. Stay with us here for minute-by-minute updates of the action as it happens.

We’ll have live score updates from the four other Premier Division games around the country, as well as the two First Division games.

Kick-off here is in a half-hour, but we’ve plenty to get stuck into between now and then.

First things first, here are your teams:

Bohemians: Sexton, Heary (c), Pender, McMillan, Byrne, Lopes, Joyce, Moore, McEvoy, Wilson, Corcoran.

Shelbourne: Delaney, Mathews, Fitzgerald, Boyle, Cronin (c), Byrne, Hughes, McGill, Hurley, Kavanagh

Of course, there’s one man lining out in the red and black of Bohemians who is very familiar with how they do things down the road in Drumcondra. That’s captain Owen Heary, who starts at right-full for Bohs tonight.

Earlier in the week, we caught up with Heary to see how he’s feeling ahead of tonight’s big reunion. Read it in full here.

Players like Keith Ward, Karl Moore and Dinny Corcoran are very promising. These lads have no fear and we encourage that. We tell them to go out and give 100% before coming off the pitch because, if they do, the fans will appreciate it and let them know.

Nobody here in Dalymount tonight needs reminding that it’s six years since these two northside giants met in the Premier Division. They used to be the league’s heavyweights but things have changed a lot lately, as I discussed in this week’s Airtricity League column.

From the summer of 1999 to the autumn of 2009, 11 seasons of the League of Ireland were played (the bonus coming as part of the adjustment to summer football). Of those 11, nine headed back to either Drumcondra or Phisboro, with Shels shading that mini-rivalry by virtue of their five to Bohs’ four.

The word dominance hardly does it justice. But although the glory days are a not-too-distant memory, the landscape has changed significantly as the old enemies prepare to renew their league rivalry for the first time since 2006.

It wouldn’t be a night in Dalymount without a couple of bars of this classic, would it? If you’re at home, turn it up loud and let Johnny take you through to kick-off.

A late change to the Bohemians team. Kevin Feely gets the call-up in place of Derek Pender at centre-half.

We’re off and running here. Bohemians are attacking the shed end in the first half.

Bohs have the first half-chance of the night. Great work down the left wing by Luke Byrne who holds off his marker for long enough to swing in a cross, but Ryan McEvoy flashes his near-post header in to Dean Delaney’s hands.

“You’re only here to see the Shelbourne” is the chant from the away end. Hmmm…

Bohs have definitely had the better of these opening exchanges, and left-full Luke Byrne is certainly under instructions to get forward and use his pace against Gareth Mathews.

Dinny Corcoran has a chance from the edge of the box, but his shot is straight at Delaney who fumbles before gathering at the second attempt.

Great chance for Bohs as Kevin Feely has a free header eight yards out, but he can’t hit the target.

GOAL! Dundalk 0-1 St Patrick’s Athletic (O’Flynn, 9′)

GOAL! Cork City 1-0 Drogheda United (Horgan, 13′)

Another excellent chance for Bohs. Dwayne Wilson switches out to the right wing and he sends over a beautiful cross to Dinny Corcoran six yards out. The striker is stretching a little bit as he jumps though, and his header is just over Delaney’s bar.

GOAL! Bohemians 0-1 Shelbourne (Kavanagh, 20′)

You don’t need me to tell you that this is massively against the run of play. On one of their infrequent ventures into Bohemians territory, Paddy Kavanagh blocks down Evan McMillan’s attempted clearance, cuts back inside, and hits a sweet strike inside Sexton’s right post.

Great finish by Kavanagh but Bohs and their fans will be wondering how they’re behind in this one.

GOAL! Shamrock Rovers 0-1 Monaghan United (McDonagh, 4′)

GOAL! Bray Wanderers 0-2 Derry City (Greacen, 14′; McDaid, 25′)

Lots of goals across the Premier Division, including one for Monaghan inside four minutes at Tallaght Stadium.

Back here at Dalymount, Bohs come forward in search of an equaliser, but Moore is a yard or two short of connecting with Byrne’s cross at the back post.

Two more fine chances for Bohemians who are really testing Shels’ resilience here. First, Feely rises highest to meet Moore’s corner but he fails to trouble Delaney for the second time tonight — he really needs to be doing better with chances like that.

And then it’s Shels’ right-full Gareth Matthews who puts in a rather desperate lunge to deny Dwayne Wilson just as the winger was about to pull the trigger from 10 yards out.

GOAL! Cork City 2-0 Drogheda United (Sullivan, 33′)

GOAL! Bray Wanderers 0-3 Derry City (Patterson, 34′ pen)

Three minutes to go until the break here at Dalymount and Shels briefly stick their head above the parapet. Mathews tries to find Kavanagh in space between Byrne and Feely, but the winger’s attempt to chase the pass down is lazy at best.

Oooh. As the clock ticks into injury time at the end of this first-half, Karl Moore curls a free around the edge of the Shelbourne wall from all of 25 yards out. Delaney has to scramble across the face of his goal, and he’s a very relieved man when it goes the wrong side of his right-hand post.

HALF-TIME: Bohemians 0-1 Shelbourne

GOAL! Cork City 2-1 Drogheda United (Mulvenna, 40′)

Here’s the update from the boss in the Cross (see what I did there?)

They know how to celebrate Premier Division football down in Cork, by the sounds of things.

Back underway here in Dalymount with no changes for either side.

Roddy’s smiling — and why wouldn’t he be? Monaghan lead Shamrock Rovers 1-0 at half-time in Tallaght.

“Terrible” is the one-word analysis of Rovers fan Willie Cooney.

Bohs have started this second half much as they finished the first — on the front foot and asking all the questions of the Shels defence. Karl Moore is the creator of the hosts’ better chances, swinging deep crosses in from the right wing at every opportunity.

GOAL! Cork City 2-2 Drogheda United (Hynes, 53′ pen)

GOAL! Dundalk 0-2 St Patrick’s Athletic (Russell, 55′)

It’s all happening down in the Cross by the sounds of things. Minutes after Peter Hynes levels it up at 2-2 from the spot, Shane Duggan is sent off. After going 2-0 up, the hosts are down to 10 men and have it all still to do, by the sounds of things.

Spotted in Dalymount: one of those annoying green lasers. Just what the game needs, you’ll agree.

Double sub for Bohs, who have just over 20 minutes to get an equaliser. Dave Mulcahy and Davie Byrne are on for Ryan McEvoy and Luke Byrne.

It’s all been a little bit aimless from Bohs in the last 10 minutes; too many long ball being hoofed into the Shels area, and Delaney is gobbling them up.

GOAL! Bray Wanderers 0-4 Derry City (Patterson, 67′)

GOAL! Bohemians 0-2 Shelbourne (Hughes, 70′)

A sucker-punch for Bohs as Shels double their advantage on the break and that, you’d have to imagine, is that. Craig Sexton can only parry Paddy Kavanagh’s drive from the edge of the box and, true to form, Shels’ poacher Philly Hughes is hovering around eight yards out to make him pay.

GOAL! Shamrock Rovers 1-1 Monaghan United (Brennan, 55′)

GOAL! Cork City 2-3 Drogheda United (Kavanagh og, 71′)

GOAL! Shamrock Rovers 2-1 Monaghan United (Dennehy, 62′)

Just over five minutes remaining here in Dalymount and the life has drained from the game since Hughes’ goal. Anto Murphy comes on for Shels, and the home support aren’t exactly shy about letting him know how they feel.

FULL TIME: Bohemians 0-2 Shelbourne

We’re all done here and, despite being up against it for most of the game, Shels have a first Premier Division win since 2006.

FULL TIME: Cork City 2-3 Drogheda United

FULL TIME: Dundalk 0-2 St Patrick’s Athletic

FULL TIME: Bray Wanderers 0-4 Derry City

GOAL! Shamrock Rovers 3-1 Monaghan United (Greene, 90′)

We’re still going out in Tallaght, where Aaron Greene has made sure of all three points for Rovers.

FULL TIME: Shamrock Rovers 3-1 Monaghan United

That’s it for tonight as the Hoops maintain their 100% record in Tallaght. Check back soon for a full round-up of tonight’s action.
