IRELAND’S AISLING DALY will feature in the first all-female season of The Ultimate Fighter — an American reality TV show that features MMA fighters living together and training for fights.
The 26-year-old Dubliner will compete alongside 15 other athletes as they attempt to become the inaugural UFC women’s 115-pound division champion.
Daly has already established herself as a fighter of renown. She trains in the SBG in Dublin under the guidance of John Kavanagh, alongside Conor McGregor and Cathal Pendred among others.
However, she faces tough competition, as among those competing are a former International Kickboxing Federation women’s bantamweight, a United States kickboxing champion and a former professional ice hockey player.
UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis and number-two-ranked lightweight contender, Gilbert Melendez, will be involved as coaches and will meet in a championship showdown of their own at the conclusion of the season.

The athletes will compete in the hope of becoming UFC’s second female champion, alongside bantamweight (135 pound) champion Ronda Rousey.
The Ultimate Fighter: A Champion Will Be Crowned kicks off with a two-hour premiere later this year on BT Sport (part of the Setanta pack).
