All-Ireland hurling phase two draw details announced

The pairings for the phase two of the qualifiers will be revealed on Morning Ireland on Monday.

THE LOSERS OF tomorrow’s Leinster senior hurling semi-final and Sunday’s Munster senior hurling semi-final will discover the identity of their qualifier opponents on Monday morning.

GAA officials have announced that the second phase of the All-Ireland senior hurling qualifier draw will be broadcast live on Monday at 8.30am on Morning Ireland. Offaly and Clare are already in the draw following their respective provincial semi-final losses last weekend. They will be joined by whoever is defeated in the clash in Portlaoise between Dublin and Kilkenny tomorrow afternoon and the meeting of Cork and Tipperary on Sunday afternoon.

The draw will see the two losing Leinster semi-finalists drawn to play against the losing Munster teams, while there will also be a draw to determine who has home venue for the ties. The Phase two games are pencilled in for Saturday July 7th with the winners advancing to Phase three.

The qualifier action begins tomorrow evening with the preliminary round battles of Limerick and Laois, and Wexford and Westmeath. The winners of Limerick and Laois face Antrim on Saturday June 30th with the winners of Wexford and Westmeath playing Carlow on the same night. The winners of those two Phase one matches also go forward to Phase three.
