SOME OF THE brightest young hurlers in the country were at today’s Bord Gáis Energy All-Ireland U21 hurling championship launch in Tipperary.
Tony Kelly is the reigning Hurler of the Year and Alan Cadogan won the man-of-the-match award on his senior championship debut for Cork last Sunday. Jason Forde, Jake Dillon and Jack Guiney are three other highly-rated prospects who will feature at senior and U21 level this summer.
Whether any of them have had to demonstrate their hurling skills on a trampoline before is debatable.
Tony Kelly (Clare)
Jason Forde (Tipperary)
Alan Cadogan (Cork)
Jack Guiney (Wexford)
Jake Dillon (Waterford)
Kelly, Cadogan, Forde, Guiney and Dillon were joined by Antrim’s Stephen McAfee, Limerick’s Dan Morrissey, Galway’s Jonathan Glynn, Kilkenny’s Tom Aylward and Wexford’s Jack Guiney.
