A REMARKABLE ENCOUNTER at Nowlan Park this afternoon saw Dublin lose to Kilkenny 5-16 to 6-12.
Despite their opponents leading for most of the match, late goals from Richie Hogan, Richie Power and Matthew Ruth helped Kilkenny sneak an incredible last-gasp victory.
Meanwhile, there was also late drama in another of the day’s most high-profile games.
Cork were narrowly beaten against Galway, despite initially establishing a significant early lead, thanks to a goal from Niall Burke on the verge of the final whistle.
Elsewhere in Division 1A, Tipperary scored an amazing 31 points to win another high-scoring encounter with Waterford.
Noel McGrath and Pa Bourke were both influential figures, as they scored seven points each for their side.
