THE HEAD OF the company behind Angry Birds, one of the most successful smartphone apps ever, is coming to Ireland for the second annual Dublin Web Summit.

Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio, has joined the already-impressive line-up of technology leaders who will speak at the event in October.

Chris Poole of image boards 4Chan and Canv.as has also been added to the line-up, organisers announced this week.

Other technology executives making an appearance at the summit include President of Mozilla Europe, Tristan Nitot and AOL’s David Shing.

Senior execs from LinkedIn, Bebo, YouTube, Amazon, Expedia, Yahoo!, Mashable and Facebook are also due to speak during the event.

The two-day conference will be held at the RDS on October 27 and 28.
