Snapshot: Fan covers himself in jam after Nicklas Bendtner's goal

This is why you shouldn’t make promises on the internet kids.

FOR A LONG time yesterday, it looked as if Arsenal were going to squander two points against Cardiff; failing to score despite having more than 70% of the possession and more than 25 shots on goal.

Confidence levels among Arsenal supporters dropped even more when Arsene Wenger decided to bring on Nicklas Bendtner, so much so that one Twitter user declared the following:

Inevitably, Bendtner scored in the 88th minute and, despite Theo Walcott adding a second, the Arsenal fan stayed true to his word:

We say fair play to the guy for following through on his promise when many would have looked for Walcott’s goal as an escape clause.
