ARSENAL MANAGER ARSENE Wenger has reacted to fans calls for him to resign after a banner was raised at the end of today’s match at The Hawthorns.
Despite a 1-0 win fans held up a banner that read: “Arsène, thanks for the memories but it’s time to say goodbye.”
“I don’t comment on that. Do I need to say it again? I don’t comment on your question,” Wenger said.
“Every person has responsibility to prepare for the future, always.
“The only thing we can do is let people talk. We live in a society of total opinion but we live off not what we say but what we do, and what we do is on the pitch.”
Fans’ discontent has been growing for sometime now as Arsenal sit sixth in the league, 13 points behind Chelsea.
They did pick up three points today though, thanks to a Danny Welbeck second half header.
