RORY MCILROY AND Caroline Wozniacki are having a rough 48 hours.
Today Rory McIlroy walked off the course in the middle of a terrible round. He later withdrew from the tournament because of “severe wisdom tooth pain” (officially), but told the AP, “I’m not in a great place mentally. I can’t really say much, guys. I’m just in a bad place mentally.”
His strange withdraw comes less than 48 hours after girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki lost in stunning fashion in Malaysia.
The player who beat Wozniacki is Qiang Wang, the 186th-ranked player in the world. Wozniacki was up a set and had match point in the second, but lost the third set 6-1.
