ATLETICO MADRID’S TOP scorer Diego Costa was forced off after just 15 minutes of his side’s La Liga title decider with Barcelona on Saturday with the recurrence of a hamstring injury.
The Spanish international had missed Atletico’s 1-1 draw with Malaga last weekend due to the problem and will now be a major doubt for the Champions League final date with Real Madrid in Lisbon next Saturday.
Costa’s chances of appearing at the World Cup in the land of his birth, Brazil, next month could also be under threat should the injury prove to be serious.
