Watch: Bastian Schweinsteiger scores 17 minutes into his MLS debut

Talk about an impact.

IT HASN’T TAKEN long for Bastian Schweinsteiger to make an impact in Major League Soccer.

Just 17 minutes into his MLS debut, the Chicago Fire midfielder headed home at the back post off a David Accam cross to make it 1-0 over the Montreal Impact.

The former Bayern Munich and Manchester United midfielder signed with the Fire on 21 March and was presented to the media earlier this week.

Schweinsteiger was thrown directly into the Fire lineup on Saturday, and started in central midfield alongside US international Dax McCarty and Juninho.
