This reporter stumbled upon a Liverpool legend when interviewing fans about old derby games

What are the odds of this happening?

A BBC REPORTER took to the streets of Liverpool yesterday to chat to fans about old Merseyside derbies in the build-up to today’s clash. He was focusing on an FA Cup tie between Liverpool and Everton in 1967 so naturally he spoke to older fans.

He probably wasn’t expecting this interaction though.

That was former Liverpool goalkeeper Tommy Lawrence who won two leagues and an FA Cup under Bill Shankly in the 1960′s. That has to warm your heart on Merseyside Derby day.
