The incident happened at a site on the Tullybrannigan Road in Newcastle.

TWO PEOPLE HAVE been found dead at a caravan park in Co Down.

In an earlier statement, Inspector David McClements of the PSNI confirmed that a multi-agency investigation was now underway into discovering the cause of the deaths.

The incident happened at a site on Tullybrannigan Road in Newscastle. Police arrived at the scene at around 3pm this afternoon.

It is being reported by local media that the two who died were a retired couple – although this has not been confirmed – and that the cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning.
