Eleven-year-old boy shot as men ransack home

The boy was brought to Tallaght Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

AN ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy is recovering in a Dublin hospital after being shot in the arm in his own home.

The child received the injuries as a group of men ransacked his family home on the Belgard Road in Tallaght.

It is believed he received a gunshot wound to his arm when a shotgun was fired during the incident.

A man is also believed to have received a facial injury.

The boy was brought to Tallaght Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí in Clondalkin are investigating the incident and any with information can call 01-666 7600.
