Brian Cody watched his namesake help St Kieran's win the All-Ireland schools cup at the weekend

Hurling fans won’t have difficulty remembering the name of this up and coming youngster.

BRIAN CODY IS one of the most famous names in GAA, but the Kilkenny manager may soon have to share this renown with a promising up and coming GAA star.

Young Brian Cody put in an eye-catching display, scoring 1-1 as St Kieran’s claimed their 19th All-Ireland schools cup at the weekend.

And coincidentally, the older Brian Cody was in attendance and no doubt impressed by the performance of his namesake.
