'Whatever questions are put to Brian he won't be found wanting'

We asked Barry Cowen about his brother’s appearance before the banking inquiry next month.

BARRY COWEN REMAINS close to his brother Brian and talks to him “fairly regularly”.

The Laois-Offaly TD told us this week that the former taoiseach, who he lives close to, is “fine” and “very keen” to appear before the banking inquiry on 2 and 8 July.

But will we learn anything new from Brian Cowen when he breaks his silence on the events leading up to and including the bank guarantee of September 2008?

Barry Cowen told TheJournal.ie this week that he doesn’t necessarily think we will. He added:

But whatever questions are put to him he won’t be found wanting in putting an answer on the record.
