BUBBA WATSON WON the Travelers Championship last night after a playoff with Paul Casey.
However, it may have been a very different result had the American taken the advice of a fan on the second hole of his final round.
After landing his tee-shot in thick rough, a fan suggested Watson should punch a low four iron under a tree.
His response:
‘That’s why you’re on that side of the rope’.
After dropping a sandwedge over the tree to within four feet of the pin — and before he sank a crucial birdie — Watson tried to find the fan for advice on the upcoming putt.
