Former England striker Cole signs 2-year deal with Celtic

The ex-Chelsea forward has secured a contract with the Scottish champions until 2017.

CELTIC HAVE COMPLETED the signing of unattached striker Carlton Cole on a two-year deal.

The 32-year-old left West Ham in May and had been training with the Scottish champions in recent weeks in a bid to earn a deal.

The former England international has now agreed terms until the end of the 2016-17 season, having reportedly rejected interest from MLS clubs.

The forward will be presented to the media on Thursday and he could make his debut for the in front of the Bhoys faithful at home to Dundee United on Sunday.

Cole, who boasts seven England caps but has never started for the Three Lions, has scored 85 goals in more than 380 senior club appearances in spells at Chelsea, Wolves, Charlton, Aston Villa and the Hammers.
