Henrik Larsson among the Celtic legends coming to Ireland for charity match

The former Hoops striker will line out alongside the likes of Stiliyan Petrov, Alan Stubbs, Regi Blinker and Tommy Boyd at the Carlisle Grounds.

A HOST OF ex-Celtic stars will play in a special charity match at the Carlisle Grounds next month.

The likes of Henrik Larsson, Stiliyan Petrov, Alan Stubbs, Regi Blinker and Tommy Boyd have been confirmed to line out for the Celtic Legends against an 1888Fitness XI at the home of Bray Wanderers on 29 April.

The game is being hosted in aid of Ger Doolan, who was left in a coma after an unprovoked attack last July.

A friend of Bray first team coach Graham Kelly, Doolan was set upon late at night on the Main Street in Carrick-on-Shannon while attending a stag party.  He sustained a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.

Funds raised from the match will go to helping Ger on his road to recovery. Tickets are priced at €5 and can be purchased at the Carlisle Grounds.
