Chris Froome's bike 'totalled' after car follows him onto pavement

The Tour de France winner’s bike was wrecked this morning after being hit by a car.

CHRIS FROOME HAS probably had better mornings.

The three-time Tour de France winner was out on his bike this morning when he claims a car mounted the footpath and ‘totalled’ it in a hit-and-run incident.

And this was the result:

The Pinarello Dogma F8, which Froome has been using since 2014, is worth in excess of €10,000.

Luckily from Froome, who was training in France, he walked away unscathed.

The 31-year old has skipped this month’s Giro d’Italia to focus on a Tour three-peat.
