Christy Moore cancels another gig due to severe lung infection

The musician has postponed his Castlebar concert.

CHRISTY MOORE HAS cancelled another gig as he battles a viral infection.

A spokesperson for the Royal Theatre in Castlebar said Moore would not be playing his planned concert at the venue this Friday, 2 January.

“Christy is improving, but is not 100% just yet,” a statement released today said.

The spokesperson apologised to ticket-holders and said the gig will now take place on Saturday, 28 February.

Moore’s illness, which was described as an ”ongoing severe lung infection”, recently forced the musician to postpone concerts at Dublin’s Vicar Street this week and last week.

The singer-songwriter is due to play the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on 16 and 17 January.
