Should this Cheick Tiote strike in the Newcastle-City game have stood?

The visitors ultimately won 2-0 at St James’ Park.

MANCHESTER CITY BEAT Newcastle 2-0 through a clever Edin Dzeko strike and a late Alvaro Negredo effort.

However, Newcastle were denied what looked a perfectly good goal at a crucial point in the game.

Cheick Tiote’s powerful strike found the back of the net, however one of the attacking players, Yoan Gouffran, ducked out of the way of the ball in the process of its flight and thus, was adjudged to be offside/interfering with play.

Check out the incident below and decide for yourself if the referee got it right or not.
