Connacht squad hit by illness before Toulouse visit

Reports this evening say 12 players have caught ‘the flu virus’.

PAT LAM’S PREPARATION for this Saturday’s Heineken Cup clash with Toulouse at the Sportsground has been hindered by illness in the squad.

RTE report that 12 players in the western province have ‘caught flu’ with today’s training curtailed as a result.

Connacht could not be reached for comment this evening, but with Lam due to announce his starting line-up tomorrow there is sure to be an ‘A.N Other’ and plenty of standbys named in preparation for the 18.00 kick off.
