VITALI KLITSCHKO HAS tempted David Haye out of his brief retirement by tabling a contract for a money-spinning showdown in March of next year.
Haye’s manager Adam Booth told the Sun that the former WBA heavyweight champion has received an offer from the Ukranian giant and was considering his comeback.
March 3 is understood to be the proposed date with the fight likely to take place in Dusseldorf.
“We have received a contract to fight Vitali Klitschko and our lawyers are looking at the details of what has been offered,” Booth said.
Haye hung up his gloves last month, fulfilling a promise to retire by his 31st birthday.
But after an impressive rise through the ranks which saw the Londoner win world cruiserweight and heavyweight belts, Haye’s final bout — a defeat against the other Klitschko brother, Wladimir, in July — has left a bitter taste.
“I said I’d want to fight Vitali,” Haye said. “The Klitschkos are the only guys I’d consider coming out of retirement for.”
