THE FIRST TEAM selection has been unveiled ahead of the opening weekend of the Super 8s with Roscommon boss Kevin McStay making two changes for the clash with Tyrone.
After their thrilling win over Armagh last Saturday in Portlaoise, McStay has brought Fintan Cregg and Cathal Compton into his starting team. Cregg has been named at centre-back and Compton at full-forward.
Both players came on as subs in the victory at O’Moore Park and notched a point from play apiece. Defenders Peter Domican and Sean McDermott are the duo to make way.
Roscommon will be aiming to end a championship losing run at the hands of Tyrone after being defeated in qualifiers in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Saturday’s games throws in at 5pm in Croke Park with Roscommon then facing Donegal in Dr Hyde Park on Saturday 21 July and Dublin in Croke Park on Sunday 5 August.
