4 senior players named in Cork U21 team for Munster clash with Kerry

The Rebels travel to Tralee for next Wednesday’s Munster quarter-final.

FOUR PLAYERS WHO have lined out for Cork in the Allianz football league this year have been named in the county’s U21 team to face Kerry next Wednesday night.

Cork head to Austin Stack Park in Tralee to take on Darragh Ó Sé’s Kerry side in their Munster quarter-final tie.

Manager Sean Hayes is able to call on full-back Conor Dorman, wing-backs Brian O’Driscoll and Kevin Crowley, and corner-forward Cathal Vaughan for the game. That quartet have all featured at some stage for Brian Cuthbert’s Cork senior side this spring.

Dorman and O’Driscoll started in last year’s All-Ireland U21 final defeat to Galway, as did midfielder Ian Maguire, wing-forwards Mark Sugrue and Sean Kiely, and corner-forward Dan MacEoin. Cork senior hurler Alan Cadogan, a younger brother of Eoin, is included amongst the substitutes.

Dorman, O’Driscoll and Maguire all started for UCC in last month’s Sigerson Cup final win over UUJ while Kiely came on as a substitute in that game. Full-forward David Harrington and substitute Kevin Fulignati were also members of the UCC panel.
