Man dies in car crash in Bandon

The deceased was the driver and sole occupant of the car.

A MAN IN his 60s has died in a car crash in Cork.

Gardaí in Bandon are investigating the single-car collision that occurred this morning at 7.45am at Old Chapel.

The deceased was the driver and sole occupant of the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road has been closed for forensic exams and investigations continue.

So far this year, 41 people have died on Irish roads.
