  • Meanwhile, an anxious family has issued an appeal for help to locate an Irish fan who has been missing in Poland since Saturday. James Nolan, 21, was last seen in Bydgoszcz, about 130kms north east of Poznan.
  • In tonight’s main news, the judge and jury in the Michaela McAreavey murder trial are to visit the hotel in which she was honeymooning when she was murdered in January last year. The nine-member panel, the judge and lawyers will examine the grounds of the Legends, as well as the McAreavey’s room tomorrow morning.
  • Fresh from delivering her Nobel Lecture in Oslo, Burmese pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi is in Dublin tonight to receive the Amnesty International Ambassador of Conscience award and address an audience at Grand Canal Square. Here are all the details.
  • The European Commission has described a report suggesting that the Troika could propose to extend the repayment schedule for Ireland’s bailout loans as “simply not true”. A spokesperson for Olli Rehn told TheJournal.ie that the RTE News report was incorrect.
  • Salacious, ‘mommy porn’, erotica: just some of the words used to describe Fifty Shades of Grey, the novel which has just stripped Harry Potter (not like that) of the fastest-selling paperback title in the UK.

  • Remember the septic tank charge? Well, it’s back.
  • The price of some medications will be reduced, the Health Minister revealed today after a deal was finally agreed between the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association and the HSE.
  • More problems for Mick Wallace were revealed today. His car was towed from an Aer Lingus staff car park at Dublin Airport over the weekend. Ouch.
