Daniel Radcliffe lined up to play Seb Coe in Ovett rivalry film

Filming on ‘Gold’ is due to begin in April next year.

DANIEL RADCLIFFE IS set to play Seb Coe in a forthcoming film about his track rivalry with Steve Ovett.

‘Gold’ tells the story of the two British team-mates who were the world’s top middle-distance athletes when they clashed at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.

Ovett won 800m gold while Coe won the 1500m, a title he went on to defend in Los Angeles four years later.

Filming is due to begin in April 2014, AP reports, and will reunite Radcliffe with James Watkins, director of 2012′s The Woman in Black.

Nobody has been cast to play Ovett yet.
