Claret and Who?

David Cameron appears to have forgotten which football team he supports

They wear the same colour, in fairness.

THE BRITISH PRIME Minister is under fire today – from Aston Villa fans.

David Cameron has previously declared his devotion to the Birmingham club, but today told a crowd that he’d prefer they support West Ham.

In a speech on multiculturalism in London, he told the crowd they can:

“[S]upport Manchester United, the Windies and Team GB. Though I’d prefer you supported West Ham.”

Quite why a fan of Tim Sherwood’s FA Cup finalists would urge people to support West Ham is unclear, but Cameron said it was a “brain fade”.

His footballing faux pas has been lapped up on Twitter, with some suggesting that the Prime Minister may not be a football fan at all.

Which is just ridiculous. He’s got a Villa background on his phone:

They may wear the same colours, but they spell and pronounce their names differently.
