BRITISH PRIME MINISTER David Cameron appeared to be shoved by a member of the public while on a visit to Leeds today.

A man ran into the Tory politician as he left the city’s Civil Hall where he was launching plans to upgrade rail links in northern England – dubbed HS3.

Cameron remained on his feet and did not appear to be injured in the incident. He was driven away from the scene.

West Yorkshire Police later arrested the 28-year-old man but he was subsequently released and in a series of tweets the force said:

BBC News reports that police believe the man was sprinting to a nearby gym.

The incident comes less than a week after a security breach at the House of Commons saw a man arrested after he allegedly attempted to throw a bag of marbles at MPs during Prime Minister’s Questions.
