David Haye is 'embarrassed to walk the streets,' claims Klitschko

The No 1 heavyweight on the planet has branded Haye “a chicken” following their recent fight.

WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO HAS taunted David Haye following their fight last July, claiming the boxer “walks around with a battered ego”.

Klitschko secured a dominant points win over Haye last July, and says the star will struggle to recover from the drubbing.

Speaking to reporters, he said: “David Haye walks around with a battered ego. He cannot even hold his head high in his own country, because he embarrassed himself when we fought, and showed that he was a chicken for 12 rounds.”

Following the loss, Haye announced his retirement from boxing, however rumours have since emerged that Haye will return from his self-imposed exile to fight Wladimir’s elder brother Vitali.

And Klitschko believes Haye will eventually make a return to the ring:

“I have a funny feeling he won’t retire. He is an athlete, and athletes have an ego. That ego is damaged right now. If he is a real man, he will come back. Slowly, I think the reality is dawning on him and he is carrying a terrible embarrassment over what happened against me in July.”

Klitschko, meanwhile, is set to fight Jean-Marc Mormeck in December.
