DAVID MOYES’ REAL SOCIEDAD were eliminated from the Cop del Rey tonight after a 2-2 second-leg draw at home to Villarreal.
But, the headlines will be dominated by the former Manchester United and Everton manager who engaged in some slightly odd behaviour in the dying few minutes.
Firstly, he was sent-off for protesting an offside decision. But he made sure to draw plenty of attention to himself on his way to the stands.
Then, as soon as he was comfortable, he engaged in some banter with Real Sociedad supporters, kindly chomping on their crisps while having a chin-wag.
Perhaps it’s some classic man-management technique.
Sociedad have now been dumped out of the Cup and are three points from the drop-zone in the La Liga table.
