UNITED STATES CAPTAIN Davis Love III has named Rickie Fowler, JB Holmes and Matt Kuchar as three of his four picks for the Ryder Cup later this month.
Love now just has one spot left to fill on his 12-man team that will take on Europe from 30 September at Hazeltine, Minnesota.
None of the selections are particularly surprising with Kuchar now in line to play in his fourth Ryder Cup, Fowler in his third and Holmes in his second.
The trio are all ranked among the top 21 golfers in the world — Fowler (9), Kuchar (17) and Holmes (21).
Veteran and world number 24 Jim Furyk and world number seven Bubba Watson are among those battling it out for Love’s final spot, which he won’t fill until five days before the start of the event.
