Rooney wants out: The club have rejected a second bid from Chelsea, with the player set to submit a written transfer request later this week.
Bale saga rumbles on: The Daily Telegraph report that Tottenham will refuse to negotiate with Real Madrid until they increase their offer, which is already thought to be over £80 million. Levy is also insisting that youngster Alvaro Morata, who Real are reluctant to sell, has to be part of any deal.

Cesc Fabregas intent on Barca stay: According to AFP, the player’s teammate and close friend Gerard Pique told reporters: “He wants to stay in Barcelona because it’s always been his dream (to play for Barca). I’m confident he will stay on. He’s a good player, he will always have offers because of his talent, but he is feeling quite calm right now.”
Youngster in demand: Liverpool and Arsenal are both interested in signing 17-year-old Dele Alli from the MK Dons.

Arsenal eye Ginter: The Gunners also want to sign 19-year-old Matthias Ginter of Freiburg, with the clubs reported to have agreed a fee of £6million.
Palace favourites to land Bent: Fulham and Newcastle are also interested in buying the Villa man, while the Magpies also have their eye on QPR’s Loic Remy.
Irish deal of the day: Despite Owen Coyle insisting the club had received no bids for James McCarthy, Newcastle have become the latest team to be linked with the player.
