Man due in Derry court charged with stabbing another man in the back

He’s also facing a raft of other charges.

A 44-YEAR-OLD man is due in court in Derry charged with stabbing another man in the back at a house yesterday morning.

The 43-year-old victim was taken to hospital after the stabbing took place at the house in  the Summer Meadows Park area at about 3am.

The accused is being charged with attempted murder as well as two counts of assault causing harm, common assault, possessing an offensive weapon and intent to use it.

The NI prosecution service is to review all of the charges with the man scheduled to appear at the Magistrates Court in Derry this morning.
