WE WERE SO busy watching Lar v Tommy on Sunday afternoon that this one slipped through the cracks, but it’s far too good to ignore completely.

During Saturday’s pre-season game against the San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant made what will surely be one of the catches of the NFL season.

Running out of space at the back of the endzone, Bryant soared to pluck the ball one handed from the sky before somehow managing to get both his feet down in bounds.

Unfortunately the touchdown didn’t stand, not through any fault of Bryant’s but because the overzealous officials decided that it was more important to enforce a holding call than to recognize a remarkable piece of athleticism.

Come on lads, it’s preseason. Give us a break.
