Borussia Dortmund’s fans took a rather pointed swipe at the departing Mario Götze during tonight’s clash against champions Bayern Munich — a dress-rehearsal for this year’s Champions League final.
“The pursuit of money shows how much heart you really have,” the banner read. “Fuck off Götze!”
The 20-year-old German playmaker confirmed last month that he will leave Dortmund this summer after Bayern triggered the €37 million buy-out clause in his contract.
If he was expecting a happy farewell full of backslaps and air kisses, he was wrong.
It finished 1-1 at the Westfalenstadion.
