Double injury blow for Galway ahead of semi-final with Dublin

Iarla Tannian and Ger Farragher are both absent for Galway this weekend.

GALWAY HURLERS IARLA TANNIAN and Ger Farragher have both been ruled out of their side’s Leinster SHC semi-final clash with Dublin this weekend.

Tannian has been out for the past five weeks after he broke his finger playing for his club, while Farragher is still suffering from a knee injury that he picked up three weeks ago while playing for Castlegar.

Galway manager John McIntyre said that the two were not match fit as a result of their extended absence through injury.

However, the coach was optimistic that they would be fit for the final, should his team overcome the Dubs.

There is also positive news on the injury front for Galway, with Shane Kavanagh, Tony Óg Regan and Joe Canning all returning from injury. The trio missed their side’s win over Westmeath in the previous round.
