Person taken to hospital after fire in Dublin city apartment

It took over an hour for firefighters to bring the blaze under control.

A PERSON HAS been taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a Dublin apartment block this afternoon.

Fire crews were called to the scene at Love Lane off Mount Street at around 2pm.

Four pumps were used in the incident and it took over an hour to bring the fire under control.

An ambulance attended the scene and transported the person to hospital, the extent of their injuries is not yet known but firefighters described the burns as minor.

The blaze broke out on the fifth floor.
