HAVING ‘PLAY IT as it lies’ as your golf course credo is commendable, but sometimes it can be extremely ill-advised.
Take this man in North America for example. He’s clearly lofted a shot offshore and into the middle of the water hazard. However, he decides to use the freezing weather to his advantage and try to save himself a drop by following his ball out onto the (really quite thin looking) ice.
It was all going fine, right up until he needed the slightest bit of grip.
The video of the shivering swinger was posted by Golf Grinders’ Instagram page, and as Golf.com point out, he’ll have to count the missed swing having addressed the ball and also take a drop.
