1. #D-DAY: The polls have opened in Greece for the historic referendum on whether to accept worsening austerity in exchange for more bailout funds.

2. #PROJECT EAGLE: The Public Accounts Committee could be set to question Nama on the sale of it’s Northern Ireland loan book, the Sunday Independent reports, following allegations made by independent TD Mick Wallace last week.

3. #TOP UP: The Sunday Times reports that former ministers and taoisigh will receive a boost to their pensions under the recently approved public sector pay deal. Brian Cowen’s pension will rise by €2,000 to €136,000 per year.

4. #HSE: Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital is to become the first in the country to employ physician associates, who will help doctors diagnose and manage patients but have no medical degree.

5. #LOCKED UP: A taxi driver spent three years in nursing homes after being wrongly diagnosed with dementia, The Irish Mail on Sunday reports. William Ryan’s symptoms included memory loss, possibly related to stress, and he was given a range of powerful drugs.

6. #SOMEONE’S LISTENING: The Fennelly Commission was set up to investigate the recording of phone calls at garda stations, but is unable to investigate allegations of bugging by other means, according to the Sunday Business Post. A retired garda has come forward claiming that in-person conversations were recorded with other devices.

7.#MARCH: The Imam of the Clonskeagh mosque has yet to give his backing to a planned protest march against Islamic State later this month, the Sunday Independent reports, requesting ‘more information’. Those behind the march believe more needs to be done to denounce extremism.

8. #PALMYRA: The so-called Islamic State group has released a video showing 25 Syrian government soldiers being executed by teenagers in the ancient amphitheatre in the city of Palmyra.

9.  #CLOSED: A community garden in Dublin was suddenly closed after a long-running dispute with a local church. Families say they were shocked to find padlocks on the gates when they went to tend to the garden.
