THE EUROPA LEAGUE draw takes place at midday on Monday, but disappointingly from an Irish perspective, it will not contain League of Ireland champions Dundalk.
However, there still promises to be plenty of exciting action to keep an eye on when the knockout stages begin.
In next week’s draw, the 12 Europa League group winners will be joined by the four best third-placed teams from the Champions League and will be seeded for the last-32 draw.
Meanwhile, the 12 Europa League group stage runners-up, as well as the other four Champions League teams that finished third in their group, will be in the unseeded pot.
As Genk’s final game against Sassuolo was postponed tonight due to fog, we won’t know the complete list of seeded teams until their match is played tomorrow.
The Belgian side, who knocked out Cork City in the qualifiers, know a point will leapfrog them ahead of Athletic Bilbao and top of group F.
As usual at this stage of the draw, teams cannot face a team they played in the group stage or another team from the same country in this round.
Seeded Teams: Ajax, APOEL, Beşiktaş*, Fenerbahçe, Fiorentina, København*, Lyon*, Osmanlıspor, Roma, Schalke, Shakhtar Donetsk, Sparta Praha, St-Étienne, Tottenham*, Zenit.
Unseeded: Anderlecht, Astra Giurgiu, AZ, Celta Vigo, Gent, Hapoel Beer-Sheva, Krasnodar, Legia Warszawa*, Ludogorets*, Manchester United, Mönchengladbach*, Olympiacos, PAOK, Rostov*, Villarreal.
Also through: Athletic Bilbao, Genk.
*qualified via Champions League
